Another quick doodley doo.

This is a view from my bedroom window. Speedpaint, about 45 mins.
The sun rises from behind me and is usually quite strong so I get to see this play of colors in the reflection on the apartments opposite me.
You can see the bell tower next to our place in the reflection, it’s a weird shape and looks like a skewed pyramid that went on a diet of faded mint green paint. Every 15 mins it rings out a loud ding and then again every hour so I always know exactly what time it is, even at 4 am – cool huh?

These images are some snaps i’ve taken of my first half serious attempts at oil painting. Done (as always) in a mad rush to make it on time for the first Artlauf in Zürich (Artlauf meaning Art Marathon).

Thoughts of running around the lake whilst painting some art come to mind, but no, this was a very awesome, not so physical,  evening of artists, photographers, and fashion designers showing some of their work. The organisers put on a great show, some fantastic clothes design was on display including the work of Jasmin Frei (she’s pretty, and she’s my girlfriend) which can be seen here: jasfree
